Food for Your Well-Being (FFYWB) is a nutrition and wellness education series from Bon Appétit Management Company that supports your well-being, whether you’re working or learning onsite or at home. Read the tips, watch the videos, and try the recipes for all FFYWB topics.

Living well is about more than physical health; it encompasses emotional, environmental, intellectual, spiritual, financial, and social dimensions.
Each area of wellness impacts the others, and an imbalance in one or more areas can affect your overall health. Creating positive habits in all areas of well-being can help prevent future health problems.
Small actions to find balance in each wellness dimension:
- Physical wellness: exercise regularly by moving your body in ways that you enjoy and feel good for you, get outside every day, choose whole foods and incorporate more plants with meals and snacks, keep your body hydrated and limit caffeine and alcohol.
- Emotional wellness: maintain regular sleep patterns, keep a journal to capture your thoughts and feelings, talk through stressors with a close friend or family, talk with a credentialed counselor when needed.
- Environmental wellness: make your bed each morning, open curtains and let natural light in during the day, light a candle or use aromatherapy, tidy up before bed to wake up to a clean space.
- Intellectual wellness: read a book on a subject you’re interested in (that isn’t work or school related), watch documentaries, download an app to learn a new language, challenge your worldview by learning about different cultures.
- Spiritual wellness: devote time to your spiritual beliefs each day, practice meditation or yoga for self-care.
- Financial wellness: create and stick to a monthly budget, have a long-term savings plan, be mindful of your purchases.
- Social wellness: connect with family and friends daily, connect with one person each week with whom you haven’t talked to recently, get involved in special interest groups like sports or professional organizations to keep building your support network.
